I'm still not sure it's as easy as that 

1: hundreds of people have upload access, most of whom I don't know. And that 
number is constantly growing

2: comparing file timestamps to the apache log of POSTs to the upload URL 
won't be that easy, not least because the upload process could easily take 
longer than the time between uploads

(the *average* time between uploads is currently 4 seconds, so I suspect there 
are periods of several uploads per second whose timestamps will overlap)
