Yes, that would be possible. But it would also pretty much defy the definition of the *dev* server and given that dev's disks are pretty much full (and I don't know whether we can stick another disk in there), it would be easier to move t at h to another server which is not busy (and which has more than one core).

No, there will always be larger imports and as the community and modified areas grow, I suspect render requests will rather increase than decrease.
