[Tilesathome] Rendering Problems

Hi everyone,

I tried to set up my computer for rendering, but something seems to be wrong.
I get no errors, but the output definitely doesn't look like any valid map.
Most tiles contain just one white pixel, some contain a road segment,
others only one or more red dots with a label "nodes-on-same-spot"
(samples on request, didn't want to clutter the list with binaries).

I don't have a user/password yet, since I wanted to make sure
rendering worked before I upload anything. (can this be the problem?
will I get valid data to render without a password?)

I have a PowerMac G5, running Mac OS X 10.4. Most of the required
software was installed using fink.

Text outut from the rendering script looks like this:

 mac:~/OpenStreetMap/tilesAtHome tos$ perl tilesGen.pl xy 2171 1342
 - Using working directory /tmp/
 * Please upgrade to inkscape 0.45.1 due to security problems with
your inkscape version:
 - Inkscape version 0.44.1
 - xmlstarlet version 1.0.1
 - zip is present
 - pngcrush version 1.5.10
 - Uploading with username "CHANGEME"
 - Configured Layer: default
 - Configured Layer: maplint
This is version 5425 (Mannheim) of tilesgen running on darwin
 [#1 0% jobinit] Doing tileset 2171,1342 (area around 52.562987,10.854492)
[#1 100% default] Finished 2171,1342 for layer default
[#1 100% maplint] Finished 2171,1342 for layer maplint

  tia, Thomas
