[Tilesathome] lowzoom how?

I have tried to render lowzoom tiles as well and got only empty
tiles. After investigating a little bit I found out that the osm files
returned by the XAPI contain no data. They only contain the osm
element which is empty.

Then I tried the usage example from the XAPI wiki page 

wget http://www.informationfreeway.org/api/0.5/node[amenity=hospital] -O data.osm

and the returned file only contains

<?xml version='1.0' standalone='no'?>
