I rendered tile 2098,1349 from z12 to z15/16 instead of to z17. No problem
with it, just try which zoom-level Inkscape renders it, without giving an
error.
I made a bug report for Inkscape not able to handle large files ~ the gc
error Inkscape gives. Now it's waiting for the problem to be solved.

Someone a talk-nl suggested XaraLX (http://www.xaraxtreme.org/), but that
only working on Linux and not on windows.

The tile of Rotterdam x=2098,y=1354 is unrenderable, since already the
z12 version of the default tileset is too big/complex for inkscape to
handle. (tried on a 32bit machine with 2 GB RAM, running on Linux)
Has anyone a different architecture that would allow them to cicumvent
some of the self-imposed limits of inkscape on this platform?
Do we need to think about switching to another svg2png converter?
Will that even help?
Comments welcome, wether it is that the tile rendered on your machine or
how you could do it.
