Yes, I have tied it to the username. It's all I have. Many people with multiple clients all come from one IP address (at least from the server perspective), so I cannot use this. At least I can point to flohoff now and state, "one of your clients is broken, please fix it" in the future. :-) Sure, a client ID would be good for identifying single clients, but that requires someone to implement it in the client.
