[Tilesathome] The non-rendering of glaciers

Glaciers are now starting to show up on lowzoom in Iceland:

However only their outlines and not the inner areas, which is to be
expected as they don't contain a way with natural=glacier tagging.

natural=lake suffers from the same problem and is only saved by
oceantiles, large lakes (e.g. in Russia) have their inner areas which
don't touch land marked as sea. Should oceantiles be extended to cover
glaciers as well? If not how should this be solved.

Surely this has come up in the past in other large non-sea/land areas,
how has it been solved then?
