It's a spare computer that I don't use now.
I understand that these sounds like a ridicolous harware resources, but 
IMHO t at h must have "... a widely diffusion with low cost...".
At the present, t at h clients not have hierarchies, so a job could be 
downloaded by anyone (even my pc that may not be able to perform job 
itself).
Perhaps you should think of a pyramid structure, where clients at the 
base running simpler tasks, and leave clients upper hierarchy more 
complex tasks.

Yes, it's true. But my modest hardware is just rendering a little bit of 
world! :-)
