OK, I do see what you mean by pale. I had just checked that the tile stitching works, and I had just assumed that it would look identical. I will have a look whether I can get the existing perl low-zoom version to work with the stitcher, or what else I could do to make the image better. Thanks for the heads up anyway. It's on my ToDo.
