We could use it the same way, it is currently being used. It just needs to work starting at z6, I will look into lowzoom_composite.pl and see whether it would be capable of doing this. I still think that the way forward is to have the server issue lowzoom requests and make the tah client accept those and render those, using lowzoom_composite.pl

Easy to fix, by having blank osma stylesheets on z6 and z7, I think.

That seems reasonable yes.

BTW, the blue spots will go away over time, they seem to occur very seldom and only for fallback tiles where there is no newt ilesetfile yet.
