| Since yesterday (?) I see that new jobs are not given out at once any
more.
| When running a tilesGen.pl loop in foreground I often see the message:
| Server has no work for us: Upload Queue Full. Idle for ....
|
| Yes, the upload queue is almost always full nowadays.
| No, there is work to do
(http://tah.openstreetmap.org/Log/Requests/Recent/)

It doesn't make much sense to start rendering something if you can't
upload now does it?

| According to my syslog it takes up to 22 min. (average maybe 5 min.)
instead
| of seconds before getting a new rendering job. Maybe this is why I noticed
| that "Five times the upload failed, perhaps the server doesn't like us,
| exiting".

Yes that was a bug slumbering in the client. Thanks for noticing.

| Is this a new policy? Or a new bottleneck?
| Now my clients are waiting for a job instead of waiting for the upload.

This will result in more current maps within the limitations of the
server hardware.
