| Even if there is nothing to put on, Inkscape still needs to render a
| 8192 x 8192 pixel image if you don't use striped rendering. This is
| 192 MB of raw data. Don't know how efficiently Inkscape is doing

Inkscape is using 256 MiB of RAM for 8192x8192 px raw RGBA data.
