[Tilesathome] Merging rasterizer_branch (Was: Re: Testers wanted! (Re: Test rasterizer_branch))

OK, I've had some feedback both on and off the list and it seems to be
working on all the tested platforms now (even 64-bit vista(!))

What's the current state of _unstable? Should I do a merge against
that and then merge this on to stable, or do we want it to sit there
too for a while for even more testing?
