When you say that something is just a hack until somebody can backport
something from unstable, and they are planning to copy unstable to
stabel soon enough then of course they don't bother patching code that
will be obsolete soon anyway.
I'll put it on my todo to figure out what this patch of yours does and
how to apply something similar to unstable.
Just for the record, could you supply some context for your change
just so I'm sure I get it in the right place when I start working on
it? Line numbers are a really bad way to identify a position in a
changing codebase.
