hey,
I'm having the same issue under OS X. I'm using the de_AT.UTF-8
locale; I tried setting the locale to en_GB.UTF-8, but that didn't help.
the error output:
[#0 0% tile-z12] Rasterizing failed to create output: Output file
does not exist at lib/SVG/Rasterize/Engine.pm line 58.
Rasterize command: "/Applications/Inkscape.app/Contents/MacOS/
inkscape", "-z", "-w", "256", "-h", "256", "--export-
area=0.000000:0.000000:878.906250:878.906250", "--export-png=/var/
folders/Wy/Wy+tS7MNFDybepWOr2uz+k+++TI/-Tmp-/12_2031_1298_weAM8/tile-
z12-s0.png", "/var/folders/Wy/Wy+tS7MNFDybepWOr2uz+k+++TI/-Tmp-/
12_2031_1298_weAM8/tile-z12.svg"
Rasterize engine STDERR:

"var/folders/Wy/Wy+tS7MNFDybepWOr2uz+k+++TI/-Tmp-/" is the standard
temp dir. I watched the working directory, and the svg file seems to
be created correctly. My Inkscape version is: Inkscape 0.46, built Mar
