:-P. I will scare them away if I tell them that Matthias wants 16GB * 4 layers in order to save the birthdays of all renderers :)

Feel free to come up with a sensible scheme. It would be good if the uploader client id could be at some defined location as before though. This is the one internal variable that the server sets itself (the client doesn't and shouldn't know it id number and the server doesn't trust the client to insert the correct one). So if the server can just write <client id> at bytes 4-8 rather than parsing the metadata and rewriting the whole shebang, that would be good.
