Because the server got kind of busy processing up to 10,000 requests (ie
20,000 uploaded zip files) in one thread. Unzipping, tileset file
assembling, moving to final location on NFS disk.
This is when we process large quantities of empty land/sea. The server
is no bottleneck when we process "regular tilesets" that actually
contain stuff, the server seems to keep up with current clients speed.
Other than that, all I can tell you is that the server was very unstable
over the last 3 month always for different reasons. So the reply why
the upload queue was full would have been different each time you asked :-).
Things run stable since a couple of days and I plan to keep it this way.
We are slowly crunching our way to converting old tilesets to new ones
and deleting the old ones. This is a background task that is likely to
last for some more weeks (months?).
