Looks good to me. Personally I would have used a circle in the middle.
I'm not sure if blue is a good color for this. One could make it solid
black, or use pink (nasty color. I know.) as that is the color used for
the name of tourist attractions. What color do the icons of other things
in the tourist category have?

Looks good. At which zoom levels should that be rendered?
