I've seem quite a few of these in the last couple of days as well, where 
tiles are appearing as blank when they should not be.
At time of writing 2 examples can be seem here:

The examples I've seen are all being rendered by different people, the 
tiles were previously not blank and a re-render only fixes it sometimes.
In the top example above the tile is not blank as there is a golf course 
showing up on it, it just appears to be missing all highway ways.
