Then either don't blindly restart your client, taking up requests that
could've been rendered by other clients, or take care your auto-restart
does some sanity checks before (re-)starting the client.
In your case a simple "rm -rf ~/.inkscape" before running the client
would suffice as a workaround for you particular problem.
