[uMap] First contribution: help needed to get started

Hi, I'm Bruno Duyé, French developer and OSM enthousiast and active
contributor since 2008.

I'm using Umap for months and I really (really !) miss some simple
functionnalities (mainly about GPS coordinates).

As I'm a Python dev, I decided starting to jump into the code and try to
implement that I miss and submit PRs. But I'm quite stuck, at the early
beginning:
