Which device do you have?
Do you want to use it or do you want to make your own application?

There is a solution for Symbian Phones, called Loadstone.
You find more information on the homepage http://www.loadstone-gps.com

Loadstone can import data from OpenStreetMap (See Wikipedia for first information on that), so you can get intersections and points of interest from there.
