I'd argue that internationalization should include English as the source 
base language and German and other languages as a localization. Because 
it is written in German from the beginning it means that one will be 
required to translate the whole thing to English, marking strings for a 
translation, and then prepare the German translation for marked strings.

Not only comments, but also identifiers (such as variables, class names 
etc) should be in English, they are currently in German . I hope 
translation and renaming will happen soon, so that I and other 
volunteers can be able to participate in the project.
