Hello Aurel again.

> That I asked if OSM can be converted to nokia format (lmx).

No, not yet. But it should be possible.

OpenStreetMap uses an open data format. Nokia maps format is not open.
You will hardly find someone who will support this open to closed data format concept.
The only closed format that OSM data is converted to as far as I know is to Garmin format, which is done because Garmin Hardware has special advantages for a huge amount of users (you can throw it in the mud).

I am sorry I bothered you with cool free open source alternatives that you can influence. Hope anybody else was interested.

If you want to stick to Nokia Maps, why don't you complain about their maps to their email address?

You see, making a routing software is rather easy and quick compared to collecting map data for the whole world.
Maybe you find more compagnions if you find another software, than to find another good and free map data source.

If you want to convert OSM to LMX yourself you might want to use XSLTPROT and this LMX example to start with (only for POIs):
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/LMX

I have no idea though how to transfer selfmade LMX files to a Nokia Phone, to which folder.

Best Regards
Lulu-Ann
