Hello,
Sorry guys for going a bit off topic.
I think currently osm has the most accessible and conprehensive mapping
data for my region, that is central slovakia.
What I am using currently is loadstone gps on a nokia E52.
I've downloaded the whole slovakia as an osm file, used loadstone tools
http://code.google.com/p/loadstonetools/ to generate the data suitable
for loadstone import.
Finally I've used dbshell http://sites.google.com/site/garawaa/ to
create a loadstone database on the PC
Currently I do have proper intersections and POIs in my loadstone
database and I am verry happy about it.
I know this doesn't talk about future improvements and sounds rather
selfish but I feel it's good to thank you all the osm contributors
because witch such an incredible coverage this way we might be able to
enhance just any navigational app of choice.
Greetings
Peter
