[Accessibility] looking for a platform for our initiative - is OSM the one ?

Hello Catherine,
Congratulation for your project, it seems very good ! The french OSM
community tries to collect such data. We already organised specific mapping
parties all over the country. I think you speak french so have a look to
this page : http://wiki.april.org/w/Mapping_Party_Accessibilit%C3%A9
In France, there is an association, *J'accède, *that set up such a similar
initiative : http://www.jaccede.com/accessible-places/
Unfortunatly they use Gmap and there data are proprietary, but since I
contacted them, they are planning to switch to OSM. They already have
contacted the Wheelmap team.
I think you should get in contact with *J'accède*, I just sent your message
to the technical responsible of the association.
