Betreff: BlackBerry Hiring Accessibility Engineering Team

For those interested, Research In Motion (RIM), the maker of BlackBerry smartphones and tablets, is creating an Accessibility Engineering team to work on providing access to the next generation of BlackBerry devices running on the QNX OS.

The team being built will include an Accessibility Architect/Team Lead, 2 to 3 Accessibility Developers and 2 Technical Accessibility Testers (see job descriptions attached). Applicable candidates will have development experience with relevant technologies, including: Accessibility APIs, UI Frameworks (like Qt), Bridging (like QAccessibleBridge), Assistive Technology development (like Screen Reader, Magnifier, Hearing Aid Telecoil software) and making mobile applications accessible in HTML5, AIR, C++, Android, OpenGL and QtGUI.

For those interested, I can answer questions you may have and you can send me your resume.

Cheers,
