Hi!

Do you have documentation or guidance on how to engage blind persons in
using the OpenStreetMap mapping tools?

We run programs in which we engage persons with lived experience with
mobility and disability periodically when we run a changemaker program in
which we spend a weekly session teaching persons how to map in
OpenStreetMap, particularly how to document pedestrian features that impact
routing.

Last year we did not add a disclaimer to our program invitation and
needless to say we had a couple of blind persons that weren't able to take
full advantage of the program's offerings.

The lab is in the process of planning such an event for the Fall and I
wanted to get ahead and sort out to what degree we can engage blind mappers
to help document features--for example, we may just have to add a
disclaimer in the program invitation that blind mappers may need to partner
up with a helper so that they can make the most of the experience.

Let me know what you know, and what I need to know.

Thanks in advance!!
