Well, there is elevation data in the uploaded GPX files.  If you 
skip over the boring hand drawing stage, and just plot the raw 
data, you have elevation and everything.  You also get speed 
limits and direction, being able to identify one-way-streets and 
street crossings where left or right turns are prohibited.
