True, but I'm keen to see a simple, agreed XML format (not GML ;-) ) so no
major hassle if I have to re-write it again. I think the most important
thing is go with one option (GPX or the new schema) and go with it. Agree
that gpx is becoming increasingly kludgy with the need for <extensions>.

Let me think about (Imi's) current schema, hopefully I can provide some
input tomorrow - bit busy today :-) As I said before, human-readability is
my principal concern but give me a day or so to think about it....
