[Openstreetmap-dev] Snapshot for testing

Hi,

I really really like to test the server code with a real data set. Can
Steve or someone else with access to the backup server of osm extrakt the
whole dataset and dump it on a DVD and ship it to me (I would paypal for
compensation)? I could download the data as well (will be a few gigs)..

Steve said that the best way to do this would be an mysqldump. If the
backups are in this format, I am perfectly ok with an older version (as
long as it is a realistic dataset).


And when I am on it, I could add some scripts to setup an test environment
at home to the DVD content and ship the DVD to other interested testers
(downloading from my side isn't really fun.. 20kb/sec ;-(  ).


I don't need the whole ticket 136 solved. I only asking for the database
dump to do tests for my implementations. I asked for this several times
now (in intervals of about 2 month) to Steve without any success yet.
