Hi list,
JOSM is released in a (somewhat) stable version and some of its features
are quite ahead of those of the applet (especally property editing and
support for ways).
So I just talked to Steve and agreed to join the applet hacking team for a
bit. He in turn will hopefully find time to code the ruby part of ways in
the server (ticket 83).
The first thing I will do when I get back from holiday on tuesday is
cleanup the whole applet code. Reformatting, commenting, reorganizing,
renaming, modularizing etc.. all the boring design stuff.
This will access many files within the applet's subdirectory of OSM-svn.
So please can you check in any pending changes there before monday
evening, say 8pm GMT? I'll take the whole tuesday to reformat and checkin
the changes on tuesday night.
After this, please before continue hacking on the applet, update my
cleanups. This procedure will restrict the possible versioning conflicts
to a minimum.
Sincerely, Imi
