According to the apache log it doesn't seem to be a permissions issue, it 
seems to be that certain variables are not being set correctly and end up nil 
when they shouldn't be. The script still runs on Apache, it just doesn't give 
the correct results. It renders maps, but not all segments show up and not 
all are tagged correctly. If anything, it reminds me of the memory-corruption 
errors you sometimes get apparently randomly in C/C++ due to a bug in another 
part of your program.
