Hi Martin
I'm after some large vector datasets for testing and I found:
http://mapserver.flightgear.org/OSM/tgr_roads.tar.bz2
When I untar this archive I get invalid *.shp and *.dbf files of the
same (suspicious) size (1<<31)-1 :
ls -l
-rw-r--r-- 1 artem artem 2147483647 Apr 15 18:39 tgr_roads.dbf
-rw-r--r-- 1 artem artem 2147483647 Apr 15 19:02 tgr_roads.shp
-rw-r--r-- 1 artem artem 100 Apr 15 18:23 tgr_roads.shx
Where can I get 'good' tiger shape file?
Cheers,
Artem
