Al, that’s useful information. I thought I’d try to load Hennepin County
(Minneapolis) which has 155,000 nodes. It's still uploading those and so far
I haven’t seen any issues but before it reaches the segments I'll take a
closer look at the .osm file (generated 22 July).

The positive ID's definitely need investigating so that we don’t end up
overwriting existing data in the database.

Cheers

Andy

Subject: [OSM-dev] TIGER import sample

After a bit of wrangling, I've been able to import the latest TIGER data
from my county (Maricopa, AZ) and generate Mapnik tiles.  Being able to see
the whole thing is pretty cool.  Here's a link to my local copy (hopefully
it will survive):

I had a couple problems with the resulting OSM file, but looking through the
neighborhoods I know, they seem pretty complete.  Here's what I encountered:

- Some stuff was generated with positive ID's, so JOSM freaked out trying to
upload it
- Quite a few ways were generated with no segments

I am going to continue to review data and see if I can figure out what's
going on with the above two issues.
