so the daily changeset is around 5 meg uncompressed.

it would be great to have a midnight query pull this exact info from the 
live database and put the results into an .osm or .osc file and save it 
somewhere alongside the planet dump.

md5 and signing the diff with an osm gpg cert optional :)
