[OSM-dev] Using NULL values in mapnik / postgres DB

Hi,

    just a quick chip-in from someone who is totally ignorant of the 
Postgres data model:

I don't know the relation between your "linestrings" and what I know as 
segments. Just wanted to say that I regularly create multiple ways 
sharing the same segments (e.g. one being a road, one a tram running on 
that road). I guess this will automatically separate in multiple 
"linestrings" and thus not pose a problem?
