It may be possible to easy that pain. Let's take Assen as an example. Richard
and Henk (with some others) put Assen on the map. They may not like to
replace it.
They could make a back up of Assen. After replacing the present data with the
AND data, they could put Assen back. They'll have to manually integrate it.
Then still the routing data AND has and osm doesn't, has to be put in. By
selecting all the roads that need the same tags that can be done together.
Seems doable.
If most mappers are OK with replacing the data, and just some dedicated groups
want to put selected present data back
- possibly some 95% of NL could be replaced and have consistent data
- the rest would have a dedicated group working on it.
This way we could be efficient, get consistent data, without being rigid and
demotivate some of our most motivated mappers.
