A Java 6 JDK was announced on Slashdot yesterday
(http://apple.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=07/11/27/1547212). It can
be downloaded at http://landonf.bikemonkey.org/static/soylatte/#get.
This particular JDK is OpenJDK, which has recently been ported to OS
X. The current version is a "preview release", but it looks pretty
functional based on the web site. I don't have any personal
experience with it, but it would be worth a shot for all you Mac
users.
