[OSM-dev] RFC 3834 compliance of auto-generated OSM mails?

hi all,

this is most probably offtopic to OSM itself, but it might be a good
thing to implement anyway. I just signed up for an OSM-account and got a
confirmation mail. As with all auto-generated mail I usually check the
headers to see if my autoresponder would have answered it, or properly
would have seen that it was an auto-generated mail (I like to send auto
replies without the world hating me).

Unfortunately the OSM confirmation mail is not easily recognizable as an
auto-generated mail. RFC 3834, section 5 defines a header, named
'Auto-Submitted' where you can tag if a mail is auto-generated or not.
Adding it to a mailscript is rather trivial and it would make a lot of
sysadmins (incl. me) a bit happier :-)

thanks in advance,

armijn
