[OSM-dev] "Map Features" in XML?

I'm also hoping to some day find a good way of describing relations with 
XML in a fashion that is similar to the presets. E.g. things like "to 
create a TURN RESTRICTION, it is mandatory to have a type=restriction 
tag and exactly two members which are ways..." and so on. But maybe this 
  is too complex and will only lead to the invention of a new 
programming language in XML ;-)

I have nothing against Merkaartor. On the contrary, a certain diversity 
in editors will help make sure that every user and every programmer 
finds one that he or she likes.
