I think bobkare was suggesting that its not as easy for our non techie
userbase to add, remove and comment on a Map Features items if its it
something other than a simple text format. Constraining it in such a way
would not be in OSM fashion. There is a danger that Map Features becomes a
"standard" which has to conform and be conformed with and we need to resist
that. Much better to work off the actual tags in the db for automated work.
