I would be for it, as AFAIK there is a lack of import paths into OSM
from more mainstream GIS formats. KML would be a good start, as my
favourite GIS (Manifold) allows export of data in KML. At the moment,
the data entry and editing powers of Manifold make life a lot easier for
creating OSM data but you cant export the created data then to OSM easily.
