Dear Cornelius,

I had a similar problem recently.  Updating
osm2pgsql
mapnik
gis schema
for svn.openstreetmap.org,
and mapnik from
svn.mapnik.org (sp?)

then re-importing my bounding box fixed it.  This is not the finesse
way to do it.  ;-)
