I would discourage such a transformation, because a translation will not
be unambiguous in all cases. Also, so. used to the spanish tagging could
incorrectly change not-translates tags that get displayed in english to
him into spanish, thus changing the data below.

They can be used (and JOSM already does this somehow) to show an
explanation of what josm thinks this selected point or way is, eg
"Bundesstraße" or "Supermarkt".
