Given that we've already re-invented e-mail and blogs and social "where
are you and will you be my friend" media stuff, maybe it is now time to
re-invent rpc and its portmapper (I think nowadays people prefer to talk
about "service discovery" and "request brokers"). You simply direct your
request and payload to a central server, which knows (or finds out)
which instance of a given service is available to handle your request,
and passes it on. I think xapi already does something like it, only for
xapi requests of course but why not extend it ;-)
