Paul Hartmann has done a Mapnik to MapCSS converter 
(https://github.com/bastik/mapcss-tools/tree/master/mapnik2mapcss). See 
recent discussions on the MapCSS list for details! I think there's also 
a reverse converter done by Komzpa.
