Hello Everyone,

We are very proud to announce the latest features that arrived at Open
Source Routing Machine (OSRM). First and foremost, the engine does not
only compute a shortest (i.e. fastest) path, but also gives an
alternative path that obeys to certain quality criteria.

For example, any alternative is not much longer, is substantially
different from the original path and last but not least, local turn
decisions on the way (should) make sense. [1]

Try it out online: http://map.project-osrm.org/

Among that, a number of smaller changes were done as well. Here is the
full change-log:

IMPORTANT FEATURES
- alternative routes
- filtered & sorted geocoder results with icons
- notifications to aid new users

OTHER FEATURES
- additional localizations (Spanish, Russian, Latvian)
- new button "zoom on route"
- altered behavior when clicking on the map to set markers
- yellow highlight markers drawn below other markers

FIXES
- fix: slight left/sharp left mismatch
- fix: choosing layers on touch-enabled input devices
- fix: selecting hidden GUI boxes tabbing

Best Regards,
Dennis (on behalf of Team OSRM)

[1] Please note that your mileage may vary if the tagging does not
reflect reality. A common source of error is a missing turn restriction.
