This seems to be a follow up on
https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk/2018-July/081066.html
On the verdy_p user wiki page I mentioned back then, you will find
additional performance traces (before the last wiki update) and some
javascript code to get template runtimes for each template.
As an example: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Map_Features takes
very long time to load, with the following templates being processed:
100.00% 25790.447 1 -total
77.67% 20031.068 1115 Template:Icon
77.27% 19927.969 1128 Template:LangSwitch
34.22% 8825.401 8182 Template:Langcode
23.93% 6172.591 1116 Template:LL
22.62% 5833.344 1 Template:Map_Features:shop
19.36% 4992.882 3698 Template:LangPrefix
15.48% 3992.006 1 Template:Map_Features:amenity
9.91% 2557.019 1 Template:Languages
9.90% 2552.810 1 Template:Languages/div
Maybe you could also do a bit of research on Template:Icon,
Template:LanguageLink, Template:Languagename and Template:Langcode.
