What is your rendering rate? So how many metatiles per second/minute are 
you rendering?

I have a much smaller machine and render with a peak of 30 metatiles per 
minute while the server is only rendering. With parallel activity for 
other work, rendering rate drops. I also wondered whether this is the 
expected speed. I thought that earlier setups had a higher rate, but I 
changes so many parameters, that I can't compare.

I render updated tiles after osm2pgsql updates and background rendering 
of old tiles. I capture rendered tile statistics every 5 minutes:

So what is your current rendering rate?
